Cornflower

Cornflower

Common Names:-Bachelors button, Bluebottle, Boutonniere flower, Hurtsickle, Cyani flower
It is a small annual flowering plant in the family Asteraceae, native to Europe. "Cornflower" is also used for chicory, and a few other Centaurea species; to distinguish C. cyanus from these it is sometimes called Common Cornflower. It may also be referred to as basketflower, though the term also refers to the Plectocephalus group of Centaurea, which is probably a distinct genus.
It is an annual plant growing to 16-35 inches tall, with grey-green branched stems. The leaves are lanceolate, 1–4 cm long. The flowers are most commonly an intense blue color, produced in flowerheads (capitula) 1.5–3 cm diameter, with a ring of a few large, spreading ray florets surrounding a central cluster of disc florets. The blue pigment is protocyanin, which in roses is red.
It is grown as an ornamental plant in gardens, where several cultivars have been selected with varying pastel colours, including pink and purple. Centaurea is also grown for the cutflower industry in Canada for use by florists. The most common colour variety for this use is a doubled blue variety such as 'Blue Boy' or 'Blue Diadem'. White, pink, lavender and black (actually a very dark maroon) are also used but less commonly

Vision of life

This passage has been dictated in Hindi by Late Dr. K.P.Prasahad. (Ex professor department of economics Rajendar collage Chhapra) . And translated by different persons. As such the correction is solicited without changing the theme and thoughts.

Vision of life

In this immense world ,human life is peerless. Human have wisdom of thought and reasoning. Its so fortunate to have human life to any soul as he got power of thinking. Thus he gets vision to reform him as well as his society. Natural resources can not be produced but human being has got wisdom to use it in the best manner. It has been said “Bade bhagya, manus tan pava;sur durlabh, sab granthan gava”.

Human have dreamt to make everyone happy. As “nahi daridr sam dukh jag mahi”.So whatever physical amenities are available, it should be distributed equally. It has been said”sarve bhavanti sukhna”. This dream can come true only when every body thinks about it. To make every body happy, there social and physical needs should be fulfilled. This can be achieved only when we have secular vision. None should be considered inferior or superior to any one. At every step there should be efforts to make all happy. This idea is best for human life and excellent socially. Welfare of everyone is possible only when there is a secular vision in the society.  For this ideal education, character and superior thought should be promulgated. But till now society is divided, at social, political and religious levels.  The society has not yet developed the idea to help each other. Science has tried to explore the mystery of nature but it has been used more to establish one society better over other, than in welfare of society.  Many articles and books are available on this topic. In ancient times the kingship has been established. There were some societies which are still an  ideal example for these days governments. In literature such type of governance has been mentioned which is known as RAM RAJ in which under influence of king Ram there was no envy among each other, (baer na kar kahu sang koi,ram pratap wisamta khoi). There will be no end of envy till the disparity persists in society. To bring the feeling of one family on the earth a social organization and governance on the basis of equity is needed. The kingship brought this feeling under the sharp edges of sword, but it didn’t last long. This can be established only when people gets a change of thought. Practically, Russia established a society of equity but as the mind set was not changed, so, that also saw dust. Right now society is divided into three groups. The ruling class, the effluent class and the proletariat. Till the ruling class will keep on enjoying by using its powers, society will remain divided.  Effluent class usually shadows up the ruling class and becomes an economical parasite on common people. It is required that the rule should be in hands of sacred people with secular vision. To achieve the goal, this book have small chapters with suggestions. But it doesn’t seems that society can be re-structured on the basis of a mere book. For this there is a need of organizational setup.
